It is not sufficient for me just learning in classroom. I wished I can realise more about the business environment. Therefore, I have taken the initiative to join diverse external competitions.
One of the competition I have joined is "ACCA COMMUNITY DAY RICKSHAW RACE".
This exciting rickshaw race competition not only illustrated the rich heritage of Hong Kong, but also helped foster cohesion between financial industries and the Hong Kong community, with charitable causes. It is such a pregnant event.

Learn2Lead Workshop
As a vice chair in charge of student Leadership, I regard my responsibilities as a chance to enhance my leadership skill. First leadership related event I held is "Leard2Lead" Workshop. Just as the name implies, it is the program teaching you to lead the others ,and equip and prepare you to be a good leader. Although I was a project manager, I learnt a lot from it.
Through the learn2Lead Workshop, I understand that personality could be divided into four different colours, including green, gold, orange and blue.
My colour is orange. It represents active and initiative. During the program, Dr Fong (The tutor in the left of picture) taught us the strength and weaknesses of different colours, and how to overcome them when working with others. It was one of precious experience in my life and I believe what I have learnt from the course can benefit me in studying and even in the future workplace.
2015 Boot Camp ONE “Self-Empowerment in Learning”
One of the most memorable events is Boot Camp one (Orientation Camp for year one students). It is the second time for me to play the role of project manager. To begin with, I thought I was well qualified for my position since I have experience on it. However, I found that I had overstated my ability. I was not capable as what I used to think. For example, the time management for the event was not good enough so we were working to meet the deadlines. Fortunately, another project manager helped me tackle different problems. Finally, the camp was smoothly finished. Although the preparation jobs are really though, I have learnt a lot.
2015 Boot Camp 2 “Self-leadership in Academic Pursuit”
There is old saying that "Union is Strength", I haven't realised such meaning until the boot camp 2. Although I was not one of the orgainising committee, I really felt the team spirit of the OC team. No matter the promotion. the games designed, or the arrangement of logistic team, it really deceives my apprecation and thankfulness.
The most precious part i remember in the camp was the sharing of alumni. They really gave a clear direction, and useful suggestions for my studying, and even the future career. I have no regret about joining the camp even it comes to the mid-team exam soon. I will recommend this event to the new year 1 students. Also, I want to say thanks to the programme leader for holding such perfect and fruitful academic activity. I hope boot camp 2 will be the endless story for ABAA Students.

Spirit of Discovery - "Tales of My Inner Journey" 2016
Participating into the snow sculpture competition, I proved the truth of “Perseverance”. Under the -30 temperature, no matter your body, willpower, attitude, they all frustrate you. To override the difficulties with “Perserverance” in such environment was the education I had in HLJ. Such experience always reminds me that you can do it as long as you don’t give up. Starting from that time, I have been changed. When I am facing with something difficult, say, finishing an assignment with limited time. I will plan for it first, and be patient until the job is done . Being nervous and anxious, you could only get far away from the success. It is just a curse rather than a blessing.
With “Perserverance”, I could also work under pressure. It is an important soft skill that enables me to alleviate the stress from studying, or even the future workplace. In other words, it makes me feel more confident to plan for my future.
Thanks to such fruitful trip, I had learnt a precious lesson in my life.
